Our Story
Every throw has a story. This is ours.
Our son, Khamani Johnson, competes in the throwing events at NCCU. Our daughter, Zoey Johnson, is already making her mark as a middle school thrower. We're a throwing family — and we saw a gap that needed to be filled.
Throwers are some of the hardest-working athletes in track & field, yet so much of the spotlight goes to the running events. We refused to let that stand.
So we built U.T.O. (Ugly Throws Only) — a brand and community for athletes, coaches, parents, siblings, officials, and everyone who loves the throwing events. We're not designers by trade. We're a throwing family that refused to let our sport be overlooked.
Our website is just getting started, and we'll keep growing — adding new apparel, training resources, and products as this community grows with us.
